Sabbatical is Over

First day back to work after my three month sabbatical. The kitchen isn’t finished, but is looking pretty good! Warmed up with 10×45 and 10×95 bench.

Chest

MAX Bench Press (120/60#)

Got 41, which beats the first time through the program by 1 rep.

MAX Ring Push-ups

Did 28, which is 2 reps better.

Went with all sets of five and tried resting the dumbbells on my chest most of the time instead of sitting up. Finished in 2:36 to beat my 2:48.

After a Week Off

Spent five nights in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We didn’t workout at all but did over 8.5 miles of walking each of the first two full days there! Today was our first workout in a week and I can’t remember the last time I took a full week off! Out in the garage just before 1pm. Warmed up with 20 PVC passes.

We did 5×12/8 on the bike, 4×10 for floor press, lunges, wings, and shoulder presses. I think we went 3-3-3-2-2-2-2-3 pull-ups, and 20-20-10 with the crunches while the partner held a plank. It took 31-32:00 and then a neighbor interrupted. Was going to do the pull-ups and be done.

Tweaked Back

I walked 18 holes on the golf course Friday in the heat and humidity. Took a lot out of me for the rest of the day.

Strict Improvement

Yesterday I went down to my brother’s and helped install flooring all day. Didn’t get home until almost midnight and was exhausted! Cut the lawn this morning, made a step for B to get up to the outdoor pull-up bar, and we got to the workout around 1pm I think.
